Indesso Receives Sustainability Recognition Award from Endress+Hauser Indonesia

Jakarta, 15 May 2024—Indesso is proud to announce that it has been honored with three Sustainability Recognition Awards, acknowledging its outstanding efforts in Responsible Sourcing, Women Empowerment, and Green Chemistry through the innovative product development of essential oil-based fuel additives. The awards were presented by Endress+Hauser Indonesia, a global leader in measurement and automation technology, renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices. Endress+Hauser Indonesia partnered with the Center for Sustainability and Waste Management of the University of Indonesia to assess and recognize the sustainability efforts of its clients.
The awards ceremony took place at the St. Regis Hotel in Jakarta, where Indesso's sustainability initiatives were recognized as exemplary in the following categories:
- Responsible Sourcing: Indesso's program fosters connections and positive change with farmers by promoting improved farming methods and responsible land stewardship.
- Women Empowerment through GALS Initiatives: Together with its partner, Indesso collaborates with local communities and village elders to provide equal opportunities for women in agriculture. The key focuses include promoting inclusivity and ensuring women can fully contribute to the program's success.
- Green Chemistry: Indesso integrates green chemistry principles to prioritize sustainability. One example is the innovation of an essential oil-based fuel additive that offers a greener solution for the energy industry.
In addition to receiving these awards, the company's Vice President of Manufacturing, Efendi, was invited as a speaker at the event. He participated in a discussion panel on "Unlocking Energy Efficiency," where he shared valuable insights on enhancing energy efficiency in industrial processes.
