Indesso takes extra care to provide safe and healthy workplaces for its employees by implementing strict occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems. The company follows both local and international OH&S standards as guidelines, one of which is the ISO 45001:2018 that specifies an OH&S management system requirements. The assessment was completed in December 2021 for the manufacturing plant in Cileungsi, West Java.
Indesso has a dedicated Quality, Healthy, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) department responsible for hazard identification and risk assessment in all working areas to prevent any potential accident. The QHSE also forms emergency response teams and conducts regular training, simulation, and internal audits to prepare the employees for unexpected events. "Aside from the physical aspect, Indesso also promotes and protects employees’ mental wellbeing," said Rossano Sutanto,Vice President HR of Indesso.
