Clove
(Clove)
Clove is native to Indonesia and was only grown in the Moluccas until Pierre Poivre smuggled the seeds in 1770 and distributed them to other parts of the world. Now clove grows in many places including Madagascar, Zanzibar, India, and Sri Lanka. Despite that, Indonesia is still leading the global clove output. Indesso is recognized as the world leader in clove oil and its derivatives with a 60% world market share. It has myriad functions, from food flavoring to fish sedatives. We have so far produced the most complete clove oil derivatives.
