Benzoin

Benzoin
is a dried sap obtained by making an incision on the bark of the Styrax
trees. Sumatera benzoin (Styrax benzoin) and Siam benzoin (Styrax
tokinensis) are the two most used benzoin species for fragrance ingredients. The benzoin gum is processed into absolutes before used in the fragrance industry.
